Privacy Policy

• Account: a sign-in from Apple or Google, your display name if you give one, and your age band (13 to 17, 18 to 20, 21 or older). Never a birth date.

• Phone: to let your vote count in the official verdict, we text you a code. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) version of your number, never the number itself.

• Device check: whether Apple's or Google's device check passed. We do not fingerprint devices. We keep a truncated version of your network address for a short time, only to catch fraud.

• Teams: the home team you declare and the teams you follow, with the dates you set them.

• Your calls: the polls you answered, when, and which answer. Your answer is stored separately from the record of your vote, and the systems that check votes cannot read it.

• Usage: which screens you open and which polls you view, with no personal details, so we can see what works.

Precise location (metro-level only, and only if you opt in), contacts, photos, biometrics, or anything about your health.

• To run the game: grade your calls, keep your streak, show your scores.
• To make verdicts credible: decide whether each vote counts, catch bots and coordinated voting, and publish how many votes were excluded and why.
• To send you at most two alerts per game, if you allow it. Promotional alerts need a separate, explicit yes.

Deciding which kind of fan you are for a game (home, rival, neutral) uses the team you declared, how long you have followed it and your activity. You can turn inference off in Privacy, data and account; then only the team you declared is used. You can see your vote's tier and appeal it; a person answers within 72 hours.

• Service providers that run the app for us (hosting, texting codes, analytics, crash reporting), under contract and only for those purposes.
• Sponsors see aggregated numbers only. They never see who you are, which polls you answered, or how you answered.
• Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

You can export your data or delete your account at any time in the app. Deletion removes your personal data within 30 days; your past votes stay as anonymous counts.

FanVoice is for people 13 and older. If we learn we hold data about a younger child, we delete it.
